This Plum And Apple Crumble is the ultimate comforting sweet dish for fall. It is high in complex carbs and skips refined sugar entirely while being oh so delicious.

Plum and Apple Crumble (refinded sugar-free)
When the colder season rolls around, I’m always craving warm dishes when it comes to my daily meal plan. Not only do I love to eat a warm breakfast (Hello, oatmeal!) and soups as well as stews for lunch and dinner, but I also like my sweet treats hot this time of the year. And what better way to celebrate seasonal fruits than with this healthy and comforting crumble.

A tangy burst of sweetness
For this crumble recipe, I used two of my favourite fall fruits, plums and apples. I think they go so well together and form a sweet but tangy combination I always crave. Throw in some warming spices, cover with a healthy crust and 30 minutes later, you will have a comforting but balanced dessert.
The best part? While you’re baking the crumble, the smell in the kitchen from the fruits and warming spices is divine and will make your loved ones run to the table to get some of this delicious treat.
I love to eat this plum and apple crumble as a dessert or serve it as a sweet but balanced brunch dish.

Tips for making this plum and apple crumble
You can easily swap out the apple and plums for other fruits you like to make your favourite version of the crumble.
The crumble is best served right after making. Store leftovers in the fridge, but be aware that the crumble crust will not stay as crunchy as it is when taking it right out of the oven.
Serve with regular, Greek or plant-based yoghurt to add a creamy but healthy touch to this crispy dessert.
