For the nice cream:
- 4 ripe bananas
- 3 tablespoon peanut butter
Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into rounds. Place the banana slices in a single layer in freezer bags. Freeze them for at least 2 hours or until completely frozen.
Once frozen, transfer the bananas to a high-powered blender and add the creamy peanut butter. Start blending at a low and gradually increase the speed as the mixture breaks down.
Scrape down the sides and continue blending until the mixture is smooth. This may take a few minutes.
Once the nice cream reaches a creamy consistency, serve it with the toppings of your choice.
- Texture – If you prefer a firmer texture like I do, freeze the blended nice cream for 30 minutes to an hour before serving.
- Nut or seed butter – If you're allergic to peanuts or prefer a different flavor, you can substitute peanut butter with almond butter, cashew butter, or seed butter.
- Protein powder – Incorporate a scoop of your preferred protein powder for an added protein boost.
