- 1 ripe banana
- 150 g mango chunks (1 cup)
- ½ lime
- 200 ml dairy-free milk (e.g. soy or almond) (1 cup)
Peel the ripe banana and slice it. Then, peel and cut the mango. If you want an icy and thick smoothie, place the pieces into freezer-friendly zip-loc bags and freeze them overnight.
Add the banana slices, mango chunks, and plant-based milk to your blender. Squeeze the juice of half a lime into the blender.
Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If the smoothie is too thick, add more plant-based milk to reach your desired consistency.
Once your mango banana smoothie is well-blended, pour it into a glass and enjoy!
- Use frozen fruit – Using frozen mango and/or banana chunks will make your smoothie thicker and colder. It's a great way to achieve a creamy texture.
- Ripeness is your friend – Make sure your banana and mango are ripe. Ripe fruits are sweeter and easier to blend.
- Adjust the consistency – To achieve your desired consistency, add more or less milk. Thicker smoothies are great for bowls, while thinner ones are easier to sip through a straw.
