Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 150 g mango chunks (1 cup)
  • ½ lime
  • 200 ml dairy-free milk (e.g. soy or almond) (1 cup)

Instructions

  • Peel the ripe banana and slice it. Then, peel and cut the mango. If you want an icy and thick smoothie, place the pieces into freezer-friendly zip-loc bags and freeze them overnight.
  • Add the banana slices, mango chunks, and plant-based milk to your blender. Squeeze the juice of half a lime into the blender.
  • Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If the smoothie is too thick, add more plant-based milk to reach your desired consistency.
  • Once your mango banana smoothie is well-blended, pour it into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use frozen fruit – Using frozen mango and/or banana chunks will make your smoothie thicker and colder. It's a great way to achieve a creamy texture.
  • Ripeness is your friend – Make sure your banana and mango are ripe. Ripe fruits are sweeter and easier to blend.
  • Adjust the consistency – To achieve your desired consistency, add more or less milk. Thicker smoothies are great for bowls, while thinner ones are easier to sip through a straw.
