Ingredients

  • 100 ml Aperol
  • 300 ml white wine
  • 300 ml apple juice
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves

Instructions

  • Pour the Aperol, white wine, and apple juice into a medium-sized saucepan. Add the honey, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
  • Warm up the mixture on thestove on medium heat, making sure it doesn’t start to bowl. This would make thealcohol evaporate. Stir for about 2-3 minutes until the honey is dissolved and the mixture is hot.
  • Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves and pour into mugs and glasses. Garnish with orange slices and a cinnamon stick if you like and serve.

Notes

  • Instead of Aperol you can also use Campari in this recipe. Be aware that it will taste more bitter because Campari has a bitterer taste than Aperol.
  • You can make this hot Aperol in advance and warm it up when you are ready to serve it. Make sure the mixture does not start to boil. This would make the alcohol evaporate.
