Fresh and fruity happy hour

Hello Friday! I recently discovered a new love for cocktail happy hour in the last couple of months and it’s such a fun and delicious way to end the work week and cheer to the weekend.

For this recipe, I’m using the juice and the seeds of pomegranates and a special gin from Vienna, my hometown, for a fruity spin on the classic gin and tonic. The vibrant Klyo Gin No. 1 instantly caught my eye when I saw it. Made of Hibiscus flowers, cranberries and raspberries amongst others, its gorgeous light pink colour and floral taste are the perfect base for fruity Summer cocktails. If you can’t find the specific gin I used in this recipe, you can also use a different fruity gin or just regular gin.

How to prepare this Pomegranate Gin Tonic

Consisting of just three ingredients, this cocktail is easy and quick to prepare and a total crowd pleaser. I tested it last week with some friends and there was more than one buddy who wanted a second round. Talk about a winner!

Squeeze one pomegranate. Strain the juice through a sieve to separate from the seeds. Pour gin into two glasses over ice cubes. Add pomegranate juice and a couple of seeds. Top with chilled tonic water and serve.
