Berry Caipiroska

Are you craving berries as much as I do in summer? I could literally eat tons of them when they are in season. My daily breakfast recently always consists of yogurt, berries and a dash of my Healthy Homemade Granola to start the day. But it doesn’t stop there with my berry love. After thinking of new ways to incorporate them into my food and drinks, I thought it was time to take one of my favourite cocktails to the next level by pairing it with berries. Genius right? So I took the classic Caipiroska and added a twist with some of my favourite berries. A sip of this berrylicious drink and you know it is summer. Scroll down for recipe.


Berry Caipiroska

50g / 1/2 cup raspberries

50g / 1/2 cup blueberries

4cl / 1,35 oz vodka

1 tsp brown sugar

dash of lemon juice

crushed ice

Put the berries in a blender and mix until smooth. Strain the berry puree through a strainer to get rid of the cores and put in a cocktail shaker or sealable jar. Add the brown sugar, lemon juice and vodka and shake it real good. Pour the mixture into a tumbler glass, fill with crushed ice and enjoy.

Tip: If you don’t have a machine to crush your ice like me, just put some ice cubes in a freezer bag and let a hammer do the work.
