I can’t tell you guys how excited I am that the last couple of days already felt like Spring is finally starting in Vienna. Although it is getting cold again next week (not feeling it), the first legit sunbeams and temperatures above 10 degrees, instantly heightened my mood and made me crave more. I can’t wait for a lot of outdoor fun with my friends and really want to enjoy the warmer season to the fullest this year.
Naturally with a new season there comes a wardrobe change. Finally, we can put away the thick coats and warm sweaters for a few months again and bring out lighter materials and show off our accessories appropriately. At least, when it comes to me. So of course, I excitedly browsed the online shops and found a bunch of stuff I’m eying for the upcoming season. Scroll down for all the details on my picks for my most beloved season.
If there is a piece serving as the perfect transition item for the upcoming season, then it’s this oversized shirt dress from French Connection I found on ASOS. You can wear it with skinny jeans and a leather jacket for a chilly spring day or just alone and add some fab accessories for a casual soirée on a warm night. I’m sold!
I have this thing for layering necklaces for a while now and am always on the hunt for delicate pieces that accompany each other. Missing in my collection was one with a rectangle charm I really liked. Then I stumbled upon this beautiful gold one and instantly fell in love. The downfall though? The hefty price, so I will be saving for this one a little longer.
What does first come to mind when you think of spring? Heavenly smelling blooming flowers I suppose. Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele captured this scent with his newest perfume for the fashion house and nailed it. When you put on this powdry floral scent, it feels like walking through a blooming garden in Spring. I’m obsessed with it already after trying a luxury sample and have to get the full size for the warmer season.
I have this thing for bags that are kind of on trend but also timeless and hold more than a phone and a lipstick. This cute bucket bag has all that and convinced me with its neutral colour and sleek design. The perfect companion for some fun in the sun. The best thing? It looks much more expensive than it actually is.
Like for most women, buying good fitting denim is a pain in the ass for me. So I always put off buying new jeans as long as possible to escape the frustration. But then came this Zara high-waisted skinny jeans and for a long time a jeans fitting turned out with a smile. It has the perfect cropped length, fits like a glove and is oh so comfy. Naturally, I had to buy it right away a couple of weeks ago and will wear it all season long. Don’t be afraid to go for a bigger size though, as I was at the beginning. The truth is, the fast-fashion retailer’s sizing can feel like you’re a 100 kilos. Been there, done that and I needed to just get over it.
I am and always will be a sneaker girl when it comes to shoes. No wonder, that 80% of my shoe collection consists of comfy trainers for a casual outing. Currently, I’m craving these Reebok ones for spring to add to my collection because I can wear them to almost every outfit due to their timeless white colour and they look a bit retro which I love.
