I am a foodie at heart and probably should say no to a mouth-watering cake or delicious Wiener Schnitzel more often than I do. Nonetheless, I got more aware of what I put in my body foodwise and how it affects my health in the last couple of years. That’s why I’m trying to incorporate fresh fruits and veggies a lot more into my meals and choose ingredients that fuel my body rather than weighing it down.
When trying new restaurants that thought is always in my head and a big factor when deciding on where to go. Now, there are a bunch of restaurants these days that offer healthy and organic food but as a picky eater, they often lack in choices I would like. Until I stumbled upon Bionista, a restaurant in the first district that runs under the motto “Fresh Food instead of Fast Food”. From fresh salads to organic burgers, the menu offers something for every craving. I especially liked the “Quinotto”, which is something like a quinoa Bowl that you can adjust with a bunch of toppings. And the homemade raspberry rose lemonade stole my heart. I also loved the interior with a lot of light wood and plants that make this place look so natural and relaxing. The perfect spot for a little timeout on a stressful day accompanied by some delicious and healthy food.
