Although I always worked out more or less as long as I can remember, it was exceptionally hard to keep up with my workout routine during the last two years. When getting a degree and having a demanding job clashes, there is not much time or energy left to work out regularly. So I am not really happy with how my body looks right now because I’m not as lean and defined as I was before. But with my studies finished and a new job, it is finally time to amp up my fitness routine again. Especially because summer is coming in big steps and I want to feel comfortable in my bikini. Doesn’t any girl?
That’s why I started a new workout routine recently which I want to tell you more about. I’m all about bodyweight training programs, because you can easily do them at home without the need of extensive fitness equipment. So the Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines, an Australian fitness guru, is right up my alley. It consists of three 28 minute workout sessions a week that will rock your body. Yes, I literally mean that because when I started with the first workout I felt like a bus hit me the next couple of days. This sounds scary but is also a sign that your body gets trained well and you’re muscles are working. Additionally, you should do two to three cardio sessions a week and a stretch session which I love to do on the weekend.
It may seem a lot at first, but when you get into the routine you will feel better day by day. The three month training guide is versatile and leaves no muscle unturned. I especially love the program because you can see results in as little as a week if you also watch what you’re eating, meaning that every training program is worthless if you only eat junk food. So I try to eat healthy more or less and stay low on refined carbs in the evening. The best part? You can download the training guide online and for me it’s definitely worth the money.
