I pretty much have my life on my iPhone and can’t imagine going without it anymore. Like the rest of our generation, I suppose. Having a small computer as your phone nowadays that probably does much more than I can imagine totally changed the way I work, organise and learn. That’s why I’m always on the hunt for interesting apps that help me be productive on the go or make a task easier and always accessible. There are three particular apps I discovered lately, that I not only use almost daily but they also enrich my life one tap at a time.
I can’t tell you how thankful I am that my best friend showed me Duolingo a couple of weeks ago. This language-learning app makes it easy to learn or refresh a language in bite-sized pieces so you never get bored or annoyed. It is like a fun little game where you get points and need to reach goals, all while learning. I’m hooked for weeks now and practice French every day to get better in a language I love and want to get better in again.
I never was a meditating kind of person but lately I’m all for trying new things to stay focused and centered in a crazy world. That’s where Calm comes into play. The app offers guided meditation sessions for all levels and so far I really like it. They sessions are easy to follow and you can choose from 5 to 25 minutes, whatever fits your schedule. They also offer breathing programs, music and audiobooks specifically designed to help you de-stress and sleep better.
I just discovered this app a week ago and I’m already hooked. Since traveling is a passion of mine, I’m always on the hunt for inspiration and of course the best spots to explore. With Mapify I have found an intelligent travel guide that acts as a social media platform. You can find and share awesome spots around the world and get inspired by the breath-taking pictures the users are taking. The best part? When you click on a spot you’re interested in, you get detailed and helpful travel information from accommodations nearby to flight deals. So you can bet, I’m already dreaming about the spots I discovered on Mapify and want to travel to.
