Beach Beauty Essentials

Oh, how I love a relaxed and fun beach day. This really recharges my batteries and finally after two years with no beach vacation it was time to give into my cravings. So last week I hopped into a car with my bestie and we were off to Italy. A perfect beach day for me obviously includes good weather, music I love,  refreshing drinks, reading material and a few beauty items that I just need to feel comfortable and protected. Because for every beauty need there is the perfect product and these are mine for a beach vacay.

Beach-Beauty-Essentials2Protection is key and I was always an advocate of using sunscreen religiously. I apply 30SPF minimum and reapply regularly during the day. I really love the the Garnier Ambre Solair Moisturising Protection Spray recently. It smells like a summer breeze, hydrates my skin and is not sticky. Winner!

Beach-Beauty-Essentials3Don’t forget about the hair when you are in the sun I have to tell myself. The sun and sea can make my dry hair even worse. Not a good look at all. That’s why I always carry a travel sized bottle of my favourite hair oil with me. The Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil protects my hair from getting to dry and keeps it smooth.

Beach-Beauty-Essentials4This product is a true all-rounder which I discovered two years ago. The Palmer’s Swivel Stick with Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E can be used as a lip balm and cream wherever you have dry skin. It is handy and smells delicious. I use this in summer and winter.

Beach-Beauty-Essentials6I love to apply a little bit of the Benefit Sunbeam Highlighter to make my skin glowing in the sun. A little dab here and there and the subtle shimmer looks gorgeous on tanned skin.

Beach-Beauty-Essentials8You would think who needs a face primer when you don’t wear make up to the beach. But I do because I discovered that the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Oil Free is perfect to keep your skin flawless and protects it a little bit from sweat.
