A Scented Summer Affair

Summer Fragrance 2018

Because it feels like midsummer in Vienna for weeks now, I switched to my summery fragrances a little earlier this year. If you ask me which scents describe this season best, it would be a mix of flowery, citrusy and fresh notes. And that’s exactly what I’m looking for in perfumes I want to wear all season long. This year’s summer scent roundup features some airy scents that I love for daytime use, some sweeter notes, that I like to wear on a warm summer night out and not to forget the scents that take you to the beach with one sniff. Ready for my scented summer affair? Scroll down for details.

Maison Margiela Paris Replica Beach Walk – Where is the beach?

Not a lot of words needed to describe this light and summery scent. It reminds me of a day at the beach with wind through my hair and the sound of waves crashing into the coast. Need I say more?

Laboratorio Olfattivo Nun – Fresh Like Air

This is by far my new favourite perfume to use during the day. I discovered this Italian niche perfume brand a few weeks ago at a beauty flea market. It is airy and light, which is the perfect combination when I just want to have that fresh vibes kind of feel. With notes like Lemon, White Lotus and Jasmin it is the perfect scent to wear for a busy summer day in the city.

Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess –Sensual Summer Night

The New York beauty brand knows how to do summer scents. Bronze Goddess is a cult favourite in that category and it’s not hard to tell why. The blend of notes like Bergamot, Tiare Flower, Vanilla, and Coconut give you that hot and fun summer night at the beach vibe.

Jour d’Hermès Gardenia – Flower Power

The name of the perfume speaks for itself. It smells like you’re walking through a blooming garden of gardenias on a warm summer day in France. What’s not to love?

So excuse me, while I spritz on some more of these scents, that are basically summer in a bottle.
