4 Beauty Products That Work Overnight

Caring for my skin properly is something I’m really passionate about. Thinking back, I always researched about skin care and reading all about choosing the right products for my skin. Because of that, I tried a bunch of products over the years to find the right ones that fit my skin needs. There were some products I liked and some that I wouldn’t buy again. And then there were products I absolutely fell in love with and use religiously now. Reason enough, to share my findings with you and maybe you’ll find some new input on your skincare routine too.

I have rather dry to combination skin and naturally dark shadows under my eyes which I’m always trying to fight with skin care and makeup. In the last couple of months, I was especially concerned to optimize my nighttime routine. Because, who doesn’t want to wake up with the perfect base to start the day? The products I’m writing about today stood the test of time and are permanent staples in my everyday skincare regimen now.

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil

I was dreaming about trying this blue oil for a long time because I only read amazing stuff about it online. But I was always hesitant to buy it, because of the hefty price. So I was pretty thrilled when a beauty-obsessed friend of mine, surprised me with it. Spoiler alert: This oil-based retinol product is absolutely amazing. It glides on so well without leaving my skin greasy and has a dreamy smell. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels silky and smooth, ready for the day ahead. The best part? All the Sunday Riley oils are cold-pressed and organic. What more can you ask for?

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye

I’ve been using this eye cream for years and that says a lot. Because I love to try new stuff and tend to switch up most of my beauty products. But this is one of the few eye creams that has a noticeable effect on my dark circles and therefore I always turn back to. If you’re in the same boat as me when it comes to this under-eye problem, you definitely can imagine how excited I was when I found one of my favourite Kiehl’s products now a long time ago. Definitely buying it again and again and again…

Tromborg Aroma Therapy Multi Balm

The Scandinavians are rocking the skin care game in the recent years and this product is no exception. I found this multi balm at a beauty fleamarket in one of my favourite Viennese shops for extraordinary skincare Kussmund. Since then, I use it every day for my lips, nails and any dry patches I have on my skin. It has its designated place on my bedside table and I always apply it before I go to bed. Waking up with hydrated skin has never been easier and smelled better.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

When you look at Kim Kardashian’s flawless skin, you listen when she has something to say about skincare. So when she mentioned this product years ago in of the episodes of her infamous reality show, I had to check it out. The brand name sounds familiar? If you watch “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”, you definitely know who Mario Badescu is. Often mentioned by Kim K., the Makeup artist has been responsible for the reality-queens on-point makeup looks for years. But the makeup guru also knows a lot about skincare and even has his own skincare line. Long story short, this Drying Lotion is my holy grail when it comes to impurities. Whenever I see a zit, I put this magical lotion on before I go to bed. After waking up, the affected area looks way better and isn’t even noticeable anymore under make-up the next day. Although it takes a day or to until the spot is gone completely, this product works better than any other I tried in that category. I’m using this for over two years now and just bought my second bottle a month ago. This will be a staple in my bathroom for a long time.
